Healthy and Homemade Zesty Italian Dressing Recipe

Store bought salad dressings are full of all sorts of questionable ingredients these days, not to mention excess fat, sugar, and sodium. Use this recipe to feel better about the food you are eating with incredible flavor!

Ingredients:

*Sub ½ tsp of each (Thyme, Basil, or Oregano) if you do not have these Young Living Essential Oils

 

Why use essential oils in cooking?

The Young Living Vitality line of essential oils are designed so that we can explore pure, therapeutic-grade essential oils to flavor our favorite foods or as a dietary supplement. They are made from the purest and most beneficial part of each plant. So if you’re looking to boost the nutritional content in your diet in a simple way, this is a perfect way to begin!

Note: Only use therapeutic grade oils that are approved for consumption. Do not use any old oil from the store that doesn’t completely disclose about their plants, their farms, and guarantee a Seed to Seal, chemical-free process. If you’re going the extra step, why muck it up with a plant that was laden with weed killers or other chemicals? 

Directions:

  • Put all ingredients in jar and shake it up! Yeah, it’s that simple!
  • Pairs well with a mix of greens, mozzarella cheese, diced red pepper, baby tomatoes, cucumber, black olives, and chicken (all optional).
